Cover story: Our story and our strength is you

It’s a great story.

From PSEA’s origins in 1852, the Association has been fighting for public education. And since that cold March day in 1968, when nearly 20,000 educators flooded the Capitol steps in Harrisburg to demand better salaries, benefits, and working conditions, that’s what PSEA has delivered.

That is a great story.

This content is intended for PSEA members and their immediate families.

“PSEA is only as strong as the members who belong. We all need to belong to effectively negotiate our salaries, benefits, and working conditions. Membership is strength.”

Learning Lessons: Discovery Room

When you walk into the Discovery Room at Conewago Township Elementary, you’re transported into a bustling town. A doctor checks out a patient. The mayor sits at her desk taking an important phone call. Theater participants prepare for a show. Students learn and discover through imaginative play.

Student PSEA members make a difference with 2018 Outreach to Teach Project

More than 400 aspiring educators, EA members, and ESPs took part in the 2018 Outreach to Teach Project on April 9 to beautify schools in the Tyrone Area School District, Blair and Huntingdon counties.

Every year, Student PSEA members take part in a school-based service project as part of their annual conference. They did an amazing job again this year!
