PSEA is recruiting for two Summer Internship positions. The internship will work mostly in-person in Harrisburg, PA and will work in different divisions to experience various aspects of union work. Applicants should have an interest in labor and education, possess strong interpersonal, problem-solving, research, and writing skills. The individual must also have self-supporting computer skills.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have a career interest in working for PSEA in the future as an Associate UniServ Representative (i.e., field representative) and then, if successful, as a UniServ.
Interns will receive $21 an hour and work 30-40 hours per week. There is a $2,000 housing stipend for candidates outside of the area.

PSEA plans to hire a college-age student as Human Resources Intern in our downtown Harrisburg, PA office. This position will start in late May or early June 2024.
This individual will be doing a variety of jobs at PSEA in Human Resources. In general, the summer help will be providing clerical support (filing, typing, scanning, etc.) and assistance on special projects. Interviews will be held and the selection will be based on abilities associated with this year's needs. Working in HR requires strict adherence to confidentiality.
All candidates will need to be quite familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel and exhibit strong attention to detail. This position will work approximately 30 hours per week with a salary of $21.00 per hour. PSEA will provide parking for the successful candidate.

PSEA plans to hire TWO college students as Summer Supplemental Help to work in our downtown Harrisburg, PA office. These positions will start in late May or early June 2024 working approximately 35 hours per week.
Position #1:
This individual will be performing a variety of jobs at PSEA. In general, the summer help will be providing clerical support (data entry and scanning) and assistance on special projects. Several projects will just be entirely scanning, using PDF Docs, numerous documents and/or binders. Interviews will be held and the selection will be based on abilities associated with this year's needs.
Position #2:
This position will assist our Help Desk Coordinator in installing and replacing computer equipment in each of the 13 PSEA locations around the state. Overnight travel will be required. Those students attending college for a degree in Information Technology would be a preferable candidate.
All candidates will need to be quite familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. A strong attention to detail is required. This position will have a salary of $17.00 per hour. PSEA will provide parking for the successful candidate.
