PSEA, a labor organization representing 178,000 members who work in Pennsylvania school settings, is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented confidential Administrative Assistant to support the work of the Governance and Executive Offices at our headquarters in Harrisburg.
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting both PSEA employees and member leaders, contributing to a variety of activities, projects, and programs that sustain the organization’s core operations. This full-time, in-person position is based in the Executive Offices and involves a wide range of administrative responsibilities. These include professional communication via in-person interactions, phone calls, and email; coordinating meeting logistics; maintaining accurate records and data; and compiling complex PDF documents.
We are seeking a confidential, detail-oriented professional with exceptional organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of secretarial or administrative experience- preferably supporting executives, boards, or governance bodies. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary training in secretarial or office administration is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint, is essential. Experience in a union, association, or education-related setting is a plus, as is a demonstrated ability to interact professionally with executives, members, staff, and external partners.
This position includes comprehensive benefits including generous paid leave, no premium health care, defined pension benefit and a starting salary of $74k.

PSEA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant in our New Castle, PA office. This in-person position mainly provides administrative support to the staff attorney and PSEA Legal Division. This position administers Legal Division programs and performs other assigned office functions.
Duties include drafting legal documents using various software applications, preparing legal pleadings and briefs consistent with applicable procedural rules and filing them with arbitrators, administrative agencies, and courts, assisting with litigation preparation at the direction of the staff attorney and coordinating complex projects.
This position requires a highly organized individual with strong independent decision-making skills, who is committed to public education and union values. The ideal candidate must be able to handle confidential information with discretion and provide excellent client service. Candidates should excel in using various software applications and possess a high level of proficiency in complex English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
