2020 Conferences & Workshops

Meetings, conferences, and cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Consistent with Gov. Wolf’s advice, many in-person PSEA events and meetings will be postponed or moved to remote format. Please watch for announcements if you have already RSVP’d for an event. 

In addition, all PSEA offices will also be closed beginning Monday, March 16, at 5 p.m. Staff members will work from home and still be available to assist members via cell phone and email. You can reach them at the same phone numbers. Like many other organizations, PSEA and NEA have decided to cancel or postpone certain meetings, conferences, and events out of an abundance of caution in order to guard against the spread of coronavirus.

As medical professionals and government officials have pointed out, avoiding large gatherings is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of coronavirus. So, canceling or postponing certain PSEA and NEA events is a judicious decision and is consistent with this good advice.

2020 DPS Conference (Virtual)

Virtual sessions via Zoom will begin the week of Monday, Aug. 3.

These sessions will be available at NO COST to PSEA members.

The Annual Meeting and RA is held every year during the last week of June and/or first week of July. The Annual Meeting kicks off with conferences, committee meetings, and events. The RA takes place during the final four days of the Annual Meeting. The location of the meeting varies year to year.

  • 2022: July 2-6, Dallas TX
  • 2023: July 2-6, Orlando, FL
  • 2024: July 3-7, Philadelphia, PA

Summer Leadership Conference

July 8 -August 5, 2020

The 2020 Summer Leadership Conference will be held as virtual event.

Membership & Treasurer Workshops

COVID-19 Pandemic UPDATE: The in-person Membership and Treasurer Workshops will not be held this year. The webinars will be held as scheduled. Additional webinar options have also been scheduled.

These workshops are designed to assist less experienced treasurers, membership contacts, and chairpersons. Experienced officers may also take advantage of this training opportunity.

The workshops will provide new and updated information on relevant topics, including a discussion of basic responsibilities to give local association officers a better understanding of record keeping and reporting requirements. The workshops also include a review of essential treasurer and membership forms and important deadlines.

Registration is required. 

AUGUST 11, 2020 Membership Webinar (4-6 p.m.)
This online workshop covers materials relevant to Membership and includes an overview of the new online enrollment process.

AUGUST 12, 2020 Treasurers Webinar (4-5:30 p.m.)
This online workshop covers materials relevant to Treasurers.

AUGUST 19, 2020 WEBINAR (9 a.m.- 3 p.m.) 
This online workshop covers all materials typically presented at the in-person workshops for both Membership and Treasurers.

AUGUST 20, 2020 “WHAT’S NEW” WEBINAR (5-6 p.m.)
This online workshop is intended for experienced membership chairs and treasurers.
The content provides an update on information that is new this year.
