Pennsylvania’s public schools should be the safest and healthiest places for students to learn and grow. To make sure they are, we need the most qualified teachers, teaching assistants, school nurses, counselors, psychologists, and social workers.
Students returning to school this fall may still be dealing with uncertainty and fear following the white nationalist rally and violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.
As media coverage and national dialogue continue, it’s likely these issues will surface in our schools and classrooms.
Educators and support professionals will need to respond to difficult questions and situations.
