What do our local association and PSEA do together?

We fight for the salaries and benefits we need to support our families.

We protect members who need it most so we all can have the peace of mind to do our jobs.

We. That's the key word. Our association is only as strong as the members who belong. We all need to belong in order to speak out for our students and effectively negotiate the salaries, benefits, and protections on the job that we deserve. Membership is strength.

PA salaries are 30 percent higher than states without Fair Share, where fewer people belong to associations like ours (based on NEA's "Rankings of the States).

PSEA is 100 percent dedicated to improving our contracts, benefits, and job security.

PSEA members receive:

  • A collective bargaining agreement negotiated by our local association with PSEA.
      
  • Legal representation at no cost for unlawful termination, certification, license, discrimination, or retirement issues.
      
  • The opportunity to save more money than we pay in dues through the PSEA Member Benefits and Member Benefit Access programs.
