Alert: Tell your state senator to vote "NO" on bills attacking voluntary payroll deduction
The state Senate plans to vote on two bills that would interfere with the use of your PSEA dues dollars and jeopardize some of the services PSEA provides to you as a member.
If these bills become law, PSEA could not use dues dollars collected from your paycheck for advocacy to reduce high-stakes testing and protect your pension. And it would be far more difficult for PSEA to provide pre-retirement workshops, Member Benefits, and other programs. This means you could lose these services.
Email your state senator to oppose Senate Bill 166 and Senate Bill 167.
Alert: Oppose Betsy DeVos' nomination for U.S. Secretary of Education. Call Senator Toomey today.

Sample phone script:
Hello, my name is ____________________ and I am a teacher/bus driver/secretary/retiree in the ______________ School District in Pennsylvania.
I am calling to ask the senator oppose the nomination of Betsy DeVos for secretary of education.
I believe in my community’s public schools. Betsy DeVos believes in school privatization and vouchers. She supports initiatives that divert funding from public schools. And she has no experience with public schools and public education. Her lack of understanding of public education combined with her hostility towards public schools disqualifies her from running the U.S. Department of Education.
I am asking the senator to vote against the confirmation of Betsy DeVos.
