2021 School Board Election Trainings

Who should attend: 

PSEA members ready to make change! Participating locals should send at least one representative from your team to each training. If you are unable to have someone at both, we recommend The Basics.

Training 1: The Basics of Building Power at the Local Level
Date: 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday January 20

  • How school board elections work and why they matter.
  • Recommending candidates for school board – review of the recommendation process, candidate questionnaires and interviews.
  • How we can support your recommended school board candidates so they can win.

 

Training 2: School Board Campaigns 201 – Taking the reins
Date: 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 27

  • How to recruit candidates who can win.
  • How to run an active and powerful election campaign
    • Building a winning campaign plan
    • Developing a message
    • Voter targeting and communications
    • How to be a resource and voice of authority for your candidates
