PSEA is a community of education professionals who make a difference in the lives of students every day.
Rachael West took office as PSEA treasurer on Sept. 1, 2023. She has served as a building rep, grievance chair, and president of the Red Lion Area Education Association in the PSEA Southern Region. She has also served on the PSEA Board of Directors, the PSEA Ethnic Minority Caucus, and the PSEA Legislative Committee, and as treasurer of PSEA’s Southern Region.
Rachael has taught junior high math along with algebra and geometry at the senior high school level, most of that time in the Red Lion School District. During her nearly 20 years teaching junior high, Rachael has used her music training to begin a musical club and to direct several middle school musicals.
Rachael holds a bachelor’s degree in math, with minors in education and music, from Lebanon Valley College and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Wilkes University.
As PSEA’s treasurer, Rachael oversees the financial operations of the Association. She believes that relationships are the key to building a strong Association, and she has made it a priority to attend region events to build the connections needed to empower local members and leaders.
