ESPs honored Nov. 14

Public schools could not operate without bus drivers, cafeteria workers, classroom aides, paraprofessionals, custodians, building and grounds employees, secretaries, administrative assistants, security service personnel, and others education support professionals.

PSEA joins NEA in honoring these dedicated and hardworking professionals on National ESP Day on Nov. 14.

“ESPs are not just instrumental in the daily operation of public schools, they are vital,’’ said PSEA Treasurer Jeff Ney. “Our ESPs provide transportation, serve meals, assist teachers and administrators, and keep schools clean and safe. It’s great there is a special day to recognize them. But they are special every day.’’
