In just a few short weeks we’ve managed to vaccinate nearly every school staff member who wants it. By sometime in the next couple of days it’s estimated the number will reach 100 percent. That’s a tremendous achievement and the result of a massive statewide coordination effort.

I want to extend a special thank you to the COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force for recognizing how important our educators and support professionals are and for making them a priority. But most of all I want to thank you for your patience, your strong advocacy, and for everything you’ve done to ensure the health and safety of yourselves, your colleagues, and your students.
