Likely Pennsylvania voters strongly support the idea that K-12 schools in the state should be considered “protected areas” that are off-limits for immigration enforcement actions, according to a new poll conducted by Susquehanna Polling & Research (SP&R) for the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA).
Large majorities of likely voters also oppose measures to cut federal funding for public education, nutrition assistance, and Medicaid — all part of Project 2025, a conservative blueprint that is driving many policy actions in Washington, D.C.

- By a 59:20 margin, Pennsylvania likely voters oppose key elements of Project 2025 after learning more from both proponents and opponents about key aspects of the plan.
- 80% of Pennsylvania likely voters oppose cutting all federal funding to Pennsylvania public schools.
- 77% of Pennsylvania likely voters oppose eliminating access to food assistance for 144,000 Pennsylvanians.
- 71% of Pennsylvania likely voters oppose ending health care for 310,000 Pennsylvanians because of Medicaid cuts.
