PSEA, always striving to deliver quality member services, seeks a new voice to serve on the Strategic Planning Oversight Committee. The committee seeks an educator with one to five years’ experience.
PSEA President Dolores McCracken will appoint the members to serve for the 2017-18 school year. The successful applicant will need to attend two one-day meetings in Harrisburg, one in January and one in June 2018. Committee members are reimbursed for travel expenses per PSEA policy. PSEA will reimburse the district for the cost of a substitute if needed.
Vice President Rich Askey chairs the committee, and it includes members from across the state, as well as representatives from PSEA-Retired and the Staff Organization. The Strategic Planning Oversight Committee’s primary responsibility is to disseminate to members information about the strategic planning process, and to provide input into setting the Organizational Priorities. These priorities are vital; they drive the PSEA budget process and determine what sorts of programs and activities PSEA delivers.
