PSEA is a community of education professionals who make a difference in the lives of students every day.
Phoenixville EA member John Odell is in his second successful career after 24 years with the Army.
Pennsylvania’s public schools should be the safest and healthiest places for students to learn and grow. To make sure they are, we need the most qualified teachers, teaching assistants, school nurses, counselors, psychologists, and social workers.
PSEA is committed to making changes aimed at protecting everyone who works and learns in our schools.
Voice: November 2017
PSEA, always striving to deliver quality member services, seeks a new voice to serve on the Strategic Planning Oversight Committee. The committee seeks an educator with one to five years’ experience.
PSEA President Dolores McCracken will appoint the members to serve for the 2017-18 school year. The successful applicant will need to attend two one-day meetings in Harrisburg, one in January and one in June 2018. Committee members are reimbursed for travel expenses per PSEA policy. PSEA will reimburse the district for the cost of a substitute if needed.
Vice President Rich Askey chairs the committee, and it includes members from across the state, as well as representatives from PSEA-Retired and the Staff Organization. The Strategic Planning Oversight Committee’s primary responsibility is to disseminate to members information about the strategic planning process, and to provide input into setting the Organizational Priorities. These priorities are vital; they drive the PSEA budget process and determine what sorts of programs and activities PSEA delivers.
If interested, email Carolyn Jacoby at firstname.lastname@example.org before Nov. 25. You will receive a brief application to complete. PSEA will notify successful candidates prior to Dec. 15.
