Register for the Student PSEA 2023 Conference and Convention

Registration and Hotel Accommodations:

Each attendee is responsible for arranging their own hotel accommodations by Feb. 24 to get the discounted PSEA rate of $183.15 per night. Do not delay booking a room; all unreserved rooms will be released to the public for sale after this date.
Attendees will:
  • Hear from inspiring educators changing the lives of their students in 15 breakout session offerings including the 2017, 2018, and 2020 Pennsylvania Teachers of the Year: Mr. Mike Soskil, Ms. Jennifer Wahl, and Mr. Joe Welch, as well as keynote speaker, Lt. Gov. Austin Davis.
  • Help beautify Swatara Middle School as part of the Outreach to Teach service project alongside PA state Rep. Dave Madsen.
  • Vote on Student PSEA and NEA Aspiring Educator leadership positions.
  • Demonstrate their commitment to PSEA at the Achieving Professional Excellence Showcase.
  • Connect with Student PSEA members from other chapters to learn, grow, and make a difference in your Association.

PSEA celebrates Black History Month

February is Black History Month, and PSEA is proud to honor the history, achievements, and legacies of Black Americans. Join us in celebrating their extraordinary contributions to our nation this month and all year round.

 


Upcoming statewide meetings and chapter events

Teacher Leadership Institute - Feb. 25, 9 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.
 
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg invites you to the 2023 Teacher Leadership Institute. Available sessions include information on job searching, classroom management, trauma with children, using culturally responsive education, reflecting on teaching and race in education, and surviving burnout. Elizabeth Raff, Pennsylvania’s 2022 Teacher of the Year, will give the keynote speech. Registration at the event starts at 9 a.m. A $10 registration fee provides continental breakfast, lunch, and swag. Find more information here.
