ESP members launch summer supply drive

ESP members' work in public schools plays an important role in meeting the needs of the "whole child," and making sure students are healthy, safe, and successful both inside and outside of the classroom.

They know that this work extends beyond the school year into summer and holiday breaks.

As part of ESP members' commitment to supporting the needs of the "whole child," members launched a statewide initiative to collect summer supplies like sunscreen, healthy snacks, art supplies, outdoor games, books, and more to benefit K-5 students in the Chambersburg Area School District, Franklin County.

ESP members donated items at every ESP division meeting around the state this spring and at the ESP House of Delegates and Workshop in April.

"Caring for the 'whole child' means making sure every student is healthy, safe, challenged, supported, and engaged," said Dawn Bandle, PSEA ESP Region president. "This spring's supply drive gave us another opportunity to meet the needs of students who need us. Thank you to all of the ESP members who contributed."
