As an affiliate organization of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA), HealthCare-PSEA is associated with the largest professional union in Pennsylvania. In addition to educators, PSEA represents the interests of health care professionals, student educators, retired education employees and educational support personnel.

PSEA came to life through the efforts of a handful of educators in 1852 and has worked tirelessly to improve working conditions for its members ever since. In early 1993, PSEA redefined its organizing priorities to extend its services to Pennsylvania’s health care professionals.
HealthCare-PSEA has a separate Board of Directors, which is made up of health care professionals. We are governed by our own Constitution and Bylaws.
