February is Black History Month. PSEA joins the NEA and the nation in commemorating African-American history and culture.
Black History Month, an annual celebration of achievements by African-Americans and their role in U.S. history, was created in 1976.

The NEA created a library of lesson plans and classroom resources that cover a variety subjects on Black History Month. Materials can be adapted to fit multiple grade levels.
