PSEA Department of Pupil Services Conference 2014:
To Distinguished and Beyond For All!

The 2014 DPS Conference will be held in State College on August 6 - 7, 2014.  We invite you to the conference “To Distinguished and Beyond For All!” You can earn Act 48 hours; blast off with interesting speakers on current professional topics; and network with your star colleagues from around the state.   

Designed especially for you, our sessions are tailored for ALL Educational Specialists. 

This year’s keynote speakers include Karen Rice, PhD from Millersville University who will present on social justice and will introduce participants to a learning tool that highlights the plight of everyday poverty while creating a realistic experience of being part of a family in poverty. In addition, James J. Stone, PsyD. and Clinical Neuropsychologist will present on the underlying problems of ADHD, as well as the strengths, in order to build strategies that actually work for our students.

Beth Anne Bahn will again provide PA Department of Health updates from the Division of School Health.  In our pre-conference session, Cpl. Scott Davis from the PA State Police Academy, Advance Skill Unit, will be presenting on designer and street drugs, legal highs, and different signs, symbols and paraphernalia that is associated with drug use.
