Act 48: PSEA-Endorsed Programs
What are PSEA-endorsedprofessional development programs?
The opportunity to take advantage of nationally recognized experts in the field of education and participate in training based on current best practice and research is available through our partnership with three nationally recognized and PSEA Instruction and Professional Development endorsed training companies.
These are training programs commercially produced and presented by an expert facilitator or via videotape. PSEA recognizes two partners: Gannon University and Performance Learning Systems (PLS). They are endorsed by the PSEA board and represent the Association's guarantee that the contents meet the standards of excellence of the Professional Learning Exchange as verified by PSEA's IPD Council.
With over twelve years of experience in outreach education, Gannon University offers educators practical, skill-based courses that enhance instruction, foster collaboration and develop innovative teacher-leaders, today's change agents.
Gannon's Act 48 courses are endorsed by PSEA, offered online or face-to-face at outreach locations across Pennsylvania, designed to meet the needs of PA's educational community and link to school district initiatives. The courses are offered at a reduced tuition rate compared to other graduate-level tuition and may be applied toward a graduate degree. Courses are taught by content experts who are also practitioners, and based on Gannon's practitioner model that links theory to practical application.
