Given the historic nature of the 2008 elections, with advances for African Americans and women, Voice and PSEA.org would like to make member reflections on the Civil Rights and Women’s movements the focus of our 2009 commemorations of Black History Month and Women’s History Month.
Share your thoughts and stories about the Civil Rights or Women’s movement with fellow members on an online forum.
Selected stories will be published in Voice and on the PSEA website.
To help you integrate Black History Month in your classroom, the NEA offers a selection of lesson plans that cover a variety subjects and that can be adapted to fit multiple grade levels.
