Support the 2009 PACE Auction

Apple1Last year’s PACE Auction at the PSEA Summer Leadership Conference was an fantastic success for pro-public education in Pennsylvania. For the first time ever, the PACE Auction exceeded its goal of $14,000.  As part of a PACE Challenge, PSEA President Jim Testerman graciously dressed in an Apple Suit at the 2008 December House of Delegates in Philadelphia to honor this milestone.

PSEA-PACE, PSEA's Political Action Committee for Education, asks for your generous donation of auction items to make this year's auction another huge success. This year's event will be held on July 21 at Gettysburg College. Attendees can register to win door prizes and bid on auction items to support PSEA-PACE's work to elect pro-public education candidates in Pennsylvania. Since NO member dues dollars go to PACE, PSEA member contributions through events like the annual auction help to continue this important work in Pennsylvania.

Contributions or gifts to S-PAC are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.  All items donated and all money raised will benefit S-PAC and pro-public education candidates at the state and local level here in Pennsylvania. Remember, it is illegal to use local dues dollars to purchase items for the auction.  Items purchased with dues dollars cannot be accepted. Individuals may go together to purchase an item for the auction. In order to comply with election law, it is also necessary for us to record every item donated for the auction, along with the home address of the donor and a dollar value for each item. As a result, we will ask you to complete a short donation form when you give us your item/s for the auction.
