PSEA Recommended Candidates succeed on Election Day

PSEA and NEA recommended candidates succeeded in state and national elections on November 4th. President-elect Barack Obama, Attorney General Tom Corbett, State Treasurer-elect Rob McCord, Congressman Jason Altmire and others were successful in an election that brought out a record turnout of Pennsylvania voters.

Media reports show that over 60% of Pennsylvanians cast ballots for this election, the highest turnout since 1968.

PSEA members and staff, as well as NEA staff, worked and volunteered countless hours to support pro-public education candidates during election season.
